Implementing a structured sales training program into your business can lead to achieving greater sales quotas and KPIs

The Future Leaders in Manufacturing Sales (FLMS) program has been purpose built to provide sales employees in the manufacturing space relevant and practical skills they can apply in your workplace right away.

While completing a Certificate IV in Business Sales qualification, your employee undertakes a series of workshops delivered by industry specialists in market strategy, closing the deal sales techniques and processes while incorporating leadership and management skills in Emotional Intelligence and Neuro-Linguistics Programming.

Your employee will learn practical strategies and skills that can be implemented in conjunction with their work practices.

Industry specialists workshops are conducted once a month on campus, exposing your employee to relevant industry knowledge and practices as well as an opportunity to network with peers. Follow up workplace site visits are undertaken by the Chisholm Industry Educator. The site visits ensure your employee is on track to achieve workplace and program KPIs.

The Future Leaders in Manufacturing Sales program was developed by Chisholm TAFE as part of the Victorian Government Back To Work scheme.

Ten months of research and development was conducted in collaboration with industry and government bodies such as South East Melbourne Manufacturing Alliance (SEMMA) and the South East Business Network (SEBN), the local Skills and Jobs Centre, industry specialists and employers. The research identified a need for sales training in the manufacturing space to successfully maintain and grow business operations.

In April 2017 the FLMS program was launched.

Chisholm TAFE has received the following positive testimonials from employers taking part in program:

“I've been involved in getting this together and Chisholm have really taken on board the industry feedback to the point where this is, to the best of my knowledge, the best sales training course in Australia aimed at helping local manufacturing businesses grow their top line through better sales process and conversions.
I was little sceptical when we started this but now I have seen how Chisholm took on board industry feedback and the external training resources they have brought in this course has way exceeded what I was expecting.

Feedback from the first on campus day has been extremely positive, even for a few who thought they were already well trained in sales.”
Ray Keef, Managing Director - Successful Endeavours

“I am pleased to report that the course that was chosen for our Business Development Manager seems excellent.

Went to the launch at Chisholm yesterday and very impressed with the deliverables and content, Cathie Usher is doing a great job with this so it might be worth mentioning to other manufacturers.”
Brendan Hogan, Managing Director - Viewscape Pty Ltd
