Get hands-on experience vinyl wrapping vehicles

Vinyl wrapping is an effective way to cover the exterior surface of a vehicle. Wrap vinyl can be digitally printed to convey an advertising message or it can be of a specialised finish. Common finishes can include the likes of carbon fibre or coloured brushed metal to enhance and customise the look of your car. Vinyl can be applied to cars, boats, motorcycles as well as white goods and other uses in interior decorating and general signage.

The course is designed to suit all levels of experience, from those wanting an introduction to vinyl application, to those who want to expand their existing experience and include removing vehicle body components to their skill set. If you work in paint, panel, design or signage you will excel and benefit from having an additional skill to offer clients.

What will you learn in the vehicle vinyl wrapping course?
• remove and refit door handles, mirrors, body trim
• learn correct car wrap preparation and wrap vinyl product specifications
• apply digitally printed and laminated cast wrap vinyl
• practice and perfect your car wrapping techniques over three different vehicle body types
• receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment

Completing the Vehicle wrapping course you will be able to confidently prepare a vehicle for wrap vinyl application, and be practiced in techniques of applying wrap vinyl that is digitally printed for advertising or specialised wrap vinyl for vehicle customisation. These skills can be applied in a panel and paint or a sign writer’s workshop.

Each student will receive a starter vinyl application tool kit to own. Protective clothing and equipment will need to be worn when attending class.
