Gain the food safety skills you need to work in the food industry within a range of businesses including, restaurants, cafés and hotels, temporary food events, retail food outlets, health and aged care facilities and hospitals, child care establishments, some community services such as Meals on Wheels, and home and community care services.
This course complies with the legislative requirements for food safety and hygiene practices as outlined in the Australian Food Standards Code. You will complete one of the following nationally accredited units depending on your industry area:
Hospitality industry: SITXFSA101 Use hygienic practices for food safety
Food processing industry: FDFFS1001A Follow workplace procedures to maintain food safety
Health industry: HLTFS207C Follow basic food safety practices.
Assessment will be conducted as part of class activities with additional tasks to be completed. Students will receive a Statement of Attainment on successful completion of this course.
Bring your own lunch for day classes.
Participants must have a USI on the day of the course to be awarded the Qualification, USI’s can be obtained by going to https://www.usi.gov.au/
