This course provides you with the training required by Energy Safe Victoria (ESV) to sit for the Restricted Electrical Licence – Class 2 examination. It is intended for people in industries allied to the electrical trade such as mechanical fitters, refrigeration mechanics and plumbers.
On successful completion of this course you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the following nationally recognised unit of competency:
UEENEEE101A Apply Occupational Health and Safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace
And ONE of the following nationally recognised units of competency:
UEENEEP010A Disconnect / reconnect appliances connected to low voltage installation wiring
UEENEEP011A Disconnect / reconnect neon signs connected to low voltage installation wiring
UEENEEP012A Disconnect / reconnect composite appliances connected to low voltage installation wiring
UEENEEP013A Disconnect / reconnect composite appliances connected to low voltage installation wiring
UEENEEP014A Disconnect / reconnect water heaters connected to low voltage installation wiring
UEENEEP015A Disconnect / reconnect motors connected to low voltage installation wiring
If you decide to progress to a nationally recognised qualification that includes the above units, you will be able to get recognition of this prior learning.
You must apply for this licence at ESV after successful completion of this course and assessment. You’ll need this licence to carry out restricted electrical work in Victoria such as disconnection, maintenance and reconnection of permanently connected electrical equipment.
The course fee includes external exams, which are conducted after your course completion date (daytime only). The exam assessment includes theoretical and practical tests. Additional units, as listed above, can be added to this qualification at an extra cost, and an examination would be required to be completed.
