Elder abuse is often hidden and unrecognised. Whether in the home or in an aged care facility our older citizens are often highly vulnerable and dependent on others for their care. This course will increase your understanding of the dynamics of abuse and neglect, and assist you to respond appropriately.

This course is valuable for all those in the aged care or disability care sectors, including nurses, carers, therapists and volunteers.

• indicators of abuse
• dentifying and assessing risk factors
• best practice frameworks in client service delivery and complex situations
