Gain hands-on experience in emergency first aid

Learn how to recognise life-threatening situations and apply first aid.

This course is suitable for anyone who wants to become confident in their ability to recognise and respond to common injuries and illnesses.

Learn knowledge and skills required to provide first aid to infants, children and adults, with a focus on asthma, anaphylaxis and choking.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, fracture management, respiratory and cardiac conditions, haemorrhage control and other heat related problems.

Please note: You will be required have the physical capability to kneel on the floor and administer CPR to meet the evidence requirements for assessment.

Once enrolled, you will be given access to our pre-learning site which includes online assessment quizzes. Allow eight to nine hours if you have no prior knowledge.

You will then attend a two day course six hours each session on campus to complete your practical assessments.

Upon completion of the course you will receive the following accredited unit of study: HLTAID004 Provide an Emergency First Aid Response.

Please note: International students are not eligible to enrol in this course.
