This course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to maintain, prepare, and operate hand-held chainsaws in a work environment as well as providing skills and knowledge for using chemicals in agriculture and horticulture industries. Participants will be able to apply for Agricultural User Permit (ACUP) from the Department of Environment and Primary Industries (DPI).
This course is one of four Conservation and Land Management Courses that can be undertaken as a short course. If additional sessions are attended and assessments undertaken, they can contribute to Chisholm's Certificate II in Conservation and Land Management accredited course (AHC21016).
On successful completion of this course you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the following nationally accredited units:
AHCCHM303 Prepare and apply chemicals
AHCCHM304 Transport, handle and store chemicals
AHCMOM213 Operate and maintain chainsaws
This course is ideal for members of landcare groups, friends groups, school groups, landholders and residents.
Participants are required to attend all 5 sessions of this course (two consecutive Wednesdays plus three Mondays).
