Learn bookkeeping basics

This course will assist you in developing skills that can be applied in manual bookkeeping systems and those using Mind Your Own Business (MYOB) software suite.

The course covers the establishment of the accounts for a business, including GST requirements and the Chart of Accounts, the recording and processing of credit and cash transactions, the maintenance of a petty cash fund, the reconciliation of the business bank account and the completion of financial reports including information for the Business Activity Statement (BAS).

The completion of this course is essential if you are wanting to undertake the following short courses: MYOB Essentials Cloud Accounting, Reckon Accounts, and Accounting using XERO, Payroll Administration or How to Complete a Business Activity Statement.
