Car enthusiast who want to learn the art of vehicle body restoration?

​The course will cover Basic Skills in vehicle restoration includes Panel and Paint of a motor vehicle body. This course will be aimed to the general public car enthusiasts who want to learn the art of vehicle body restoration.

Learning outcomes:

-Basic Mig welding
-Basic panel repair hammer and dolly skills dint repair metal finishing
-Basic panel fabrication
-Basic panel repair that has minor rust
-Basic paint removal technics
-Pre-treatment of surfaces including sanding and cleaning
-Basic technics of filler application and repair
-Paint priming of a panel including blocking and sanding to finish to top coat stage.
-Basic Application of top coat paint and clear.


Requirements:

All students must have protective steel capped work boots and full cover overalls or Industrial Long Sleeved Hard Yakka type shirts and Industrial quality pants, classified as Heat and Flame Resistant.

Be a motor vehicle enthusiast with an interest in vehicle body restoration having some basic knowledge and understanding in vehicle body constriction and vehicle body panels.

Additional information:

You will be allowed bring certain body panels to class to work when you develop appropriate skills. Bringing your own vehicles into class to work on will not be permitted.

There is free parking available at the campus.
