Learn about the benefits and practice of art therapy

Discover how art therapy can enhance your professional practice within the fields of health and community care. Alternatively, you can attend this series of workshops as a form of self development.

This course would benefit play therapists, art therapists, psychologists, social workers, counsellors, case workers, child and family workers and health professionals working or intending to work with creative media in counselling, teaching and group work settings.

The six workshops in Series One will cover the following topics:

- managing stress using creative arts therapy processes
- working with adolescents using art therapy techniques
- managing change and uncertainty using creative arts processes
- improving self-esteem using art therapy techniques
- narrative story telling techniques
- art therapy and mental health

Due to high demand, this series is a repeat of the workshops we offered in 2017. We also offer six different workshops in Art Therapy Series Two, new for 2018. There are no prerequisites for these courses. You can undertake one or both of the courses, in any order.

After successfully completing this course you will receive a Statement of Attendance.

Please note: No class on Saturday 10 March 2018 - Labour Day Public Holiday.
