The Diploma of Visual Arts will support the production of creative work specific to Fine Arts.

Chisholm provides a stimulating art educational community that supports your creativity across multi-disciplines in art including drawing, painting, sculpture, digital media and printmaking. Core to the Chisholm approach is high standards and industry relevance. You will engage with experienced teachers and industry practioners to develop a portfolio of work that is technically and conceptually focused. Drawing is a key concept as well as nurturing both traditional skills and skills with new technology. Chisholm has state-of-the-art facilities including a bronze foundry and sculpture workshop.

Strong emphasis is placed on developing students’ ability to create their own designs. Through group design activities and new approaches to handling materials, students will discover innovative ways to create arts.

On completion of this course, graduates will enter the arts industry with the skills needed to present their work directly to the public, supply to retail outlets, or find employment in an art business.
