The Dual Diploma of Mental Health CHC53315 and Alcohol and Other Drugs CHC53215 will give you the skills required for you to work within the Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs industry. After successfully completing the course you may choose to find employment as a mental health practitioner, social welfare worker, or a drug and alcohol clinician. Successful completion of the Dual Diploma will give you credit for eight units of the Bachelor of Community Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs.

To complement the theory you will learn online, you will be required to complete a total of 400 hours of industry placement over the course of your studies. If you have already completed relevant work placement while studying the the Certificate IV in in Mental Health or the Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs or are already working in the industry, you may be eligible for some credit hours or to complete your placement assessment in your workplace.
