Develop the skills and knowledge to begin a career as a Business Activity Statement Agent

Develop highly valued bookkeeping skills and work towards a career you can count on

Are you an aspiring or practising bookkeeper looking to get qualified and register as a Business Activity Statement (BAS) agent? This nationally recognised course can help you gain the skills you need.

With guidance from teachers who are industry experts, you’ll learn practical skills in areas such as manual and computerised accounts receivable; accounts payable and general ledger; tax and payroll; and the preparation of BAS and other financial statements.

Upon completion of the course, and once the required work experience has been completed, you’ll be able to apply to the Tax Practitioners Board for registration as a BAS agent. You could also explore job opportunities as a bookkeeper, payroll officer, administration support officer or executive assistant.

Please note: This course will require you to download MYOB software which is not compatible with an Apple computer. You will also be required to complete a compulsory three hour invigilated exam to attain this qualification. The course duration for part-time students will vary depending on the number of modules undertaken per study period and module availability.
