Australia’s population is ageing and there’s a growing need for qualified aged care support professionals

Do you have an ambition to make a real difference in the lives of elderly Australians?

The Certificate IV in Ageing Support will help you to gain the skills you need.

You will learn to support and facilitate the empowerment of older people, to provide support to people with dementia, to recognise healthy body systems, to support relationships with carers and families and to provide individualised support.

Training modules will also focus on managing legal and ethical compliance and following safe work practices for client care.

You will gain the practical skills and knowledge to consider possible career options such as a care supervisor, care team leader, community program coordinator or high performing personal care assistant.

You will be required to complete a total of 120 hours of industry (work) placement over the course of your studies.

Students are required to produce a valid Working with Children Check and a satisfactory police check prior to commencement of the course

Please note: Course duration for part-time students will vary depending on the number of modules undertaken per study period and module availability
