Gain the qualification you need to work in aged care and make a real difference to the lives of elderly Australians

Are you looking for a flexible way to acquire the job-ready skills you need to start your career in aged care? With the online Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home & Community), you’ll learn how to help elderly people live independently, through online modules and supported practical placement.

You’ll develop a sound understanding of the core skills required to work in the industry, such as how to provide individual support, offer person-centred care, recognise healthy body systems and work legally and ethically.

You’ll specialise in aged care with specific training on how to facilitate the empowerment of older people, provide support to people with dementia, deliver care using a palliative approach, provide home and community support services and support relationships with carers and families.

You will be required to complete a total of 120 hours of industry (work) placement over the course of your studies.

Students are required to produce a valid Working with Children Check and a satisfactory police check prior to commencement of the course

Chisholm Online also offers the Certificate III in Individual Support specialising in disability.
