Develop the skills you need to help individuals with a disability reach their independent living goals

Have you always wanted to make a difference?

With the online Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), you’ll acquire job-ready skills to enable you to launch into a rewarding career in the disability sector. Through online modules and a supported practical placement, you’ll learn how to provide personalised support and empowerment to people living with a disability.

You’ll also develop strategies for communicating with people who have complex communication needs and learn how to support the skill development of a person with disability. Throughout the course, you’ll build up valuable skills that are necessary for working in the healthcare industry, from providing individual support to communicating with clients, colleagues, management and other industry providers.

You will be required to complete a total of 120 hours of industry (work) placement over the course of your studies.

Students are required to produce a valid Working with Children Check and a satisfactory police check prior to commencement of the course

We also offer the Certificate III in Individual Support specialising in ageing and home & community care online.
