Learn the basics of working in a support role within an education setting

This nationally recognised qualification reflects the role of workers in a range of education settings, including public and independent schools and community education settings, who provide assistance and support to teachers and students under broad-based supervision.

The course is delivered flexibly via workbooks based on an individual study plan. You are required to complete a placement component of the course. The learner must organise their own placement of 100 hours. If the learner is currently working or volunteering they will use this to achieve their placement.

This course is covered by the Free TAFE initiative

Free TAFE for Priority Courses is a Victorian Government program that covers your tuition fees to study in this course, if you’re eligible, from 1 January 2019. Note that you will still need to pay other fees such as student services or materials fees.
