Digital Graphics for Signage

This course provides the basic skill required to work within the commercial graphics and signage disciplines of the printing industry, now the largest manufacturing industry in Australia. Whether you’re new to the industry or upskilling this course will prepare you with the knowledge in your journey.

You will learn basic design concepts and how to prepare files with Adobe illustrator, the technology behind the products, the production process, and then actually how to install the graphics. During this course you will be producing vinyl murals, floor graphics and decals which are traditionally the domain of the sign writer, but today many businesses are specialising in commercial graphics that display a message in all sorts of ways, from windows to floors, on flags and marquees and most notoriously on vehicles in the form of vinyl wrapping.

Experienced teachers will help you build a bridge between conception to application, enabling you to approach a potential employer with a holistic experience and knowledge of commercial graphics and signage. An advantage of this course is the opportunity to be placed in businesses within the digital print and signage industry, gaining valuable and relevant job ready experience.

While this nationally recognised qualification can provide entry level employment in the graphics industry, students may choose to go on to study higher level graphic arts or business management courses before gaining employment.
