This course will provide you with specialist business and accounting skills in areas such as corporate governance, business statistics, economics and complex tax returns. The program reflects both existing practice and emerging trends in the finance industry, providing you with readily transferable professional skills. Experienced teachers, who are experts in the field, will guide you through the program, which involves a combination of theory and practical study and simulated work situations. Assessment is progressive through each unit’s study period. This nationally recognised qualification may lead to employment in roles such as financial controller, registered tax agent or accountant – or you may choose to start your own business. The course can be completed part time over one year or full time over six months after completion of the Diploma of Accounting. Previous study or work experience in the field can reduce your completion time. Once complete, this qualification will guarantee you a place in Chisholm’s Bachelor of Accounting (La Trobe Partnership) and you’ll be able to gain credit for your studies, which means you’ll complete your degree sooner.
