The college was established in July 2007 pursuant to Decision Number 922/QD-BLDTBXH of the Minister – Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs under the name of Vietnam – Germany Vocational College of Vinh Phuc. In October 2014, the college changed its name to Vinh Phuc Vocational College according to Decision 1335/QD-LDTBXH. The college is training 10 trades at College level, which includes Industrial Electronics; Mechatronics; Information Technology etc.
