We are the leading developer of services and facilities for the water industry in Victoria. Our centre is the only facility of its type in Melbourne.

The National Water Centre (formerly Centre for Sustainable Water Management) comprises 440 square metres of undercover training space and a permanent 36 by 6 metre sandpit. The centre can accommodate heavy machinery, allowing staff and students to get hands-on experience with earth moving plant equipment and be taught civil construction skills such as pipe-laying, trenching and shoring.

This $10 million multi-purpose facility sets the standard of excellence for water industry training in Australia. The centre includes a pioneering water treatment plant, water quality testing, industry research and development area, recycling programs and controlled environment horticulture facility.

As social, environmental and economic changes continue to exert pressure on Australian water supplies, it is vital that organisations in the water industry have partners with resources that represent the leading-edge of technological development.

Water industry compliance training

As well as having outstanding facilities, Chisholm is also Victoria’s leading supplier of compliance-based water industry training services.
We’ve already delivered successful workforce development programs to leading water authorities including South East Water, City West and Yarra Valley Water.

Training can take place in the following areas:

  • Water quality testing
  • Industry research and development
  • Recycling programs and controlled environment horticulture
  • Disinfection
  • Clarification
  • PH correction
  • Media filtration and ultra-filtration

Other such treatment processes such as Ion Exchange and Reverse Osmosis can be achieved with our equipment.

Do you require customized training? We can put together a solution that also includes training in areas such as occupational health and safety, plumbing and building and construction.
