The Sandra George Scholarship is open to Engineering students who will study at Chisholm.

This scholarship is open to eligible students enrolling to study in one of the below courses*:

How the scholarship can assist

Certificate IV in Engineering (MEM40119)

Eligible students enrolling in the Certificate IV in Engineering (MEM40119) can apply for financial assistance to cover their tuition, material and student services fees.

Diploma of Engineering Technology (22478VIC) and Advanced Diploma of Engineering Technology (22479VIC)

Eligible students enrolling in the Diploma of Engineering Technology (22478VIC) or the Advanced Diploma of Engineering Technology (22479VIC) can apply for financial assistance to help cover material and student services fees.

Tuition fees will need to be paid by the student. Eligible students can enrol with Skills First funding subsidising the course tuition. Find out more about Skills First funding and eligibility requirements. 

Eligible  diploma students can also apply for a VET Student Loan to help cover the cost of the tuition fees. Find out more about VET Student Loans and eligibility requirements.

Criteria

To be eligible, you must be a recipient of a Low Income Health Care Card and meet one of the following criteria:

  • individual or family adversity
  • excessive relocation or changes of school
  • relocation as a refugee
  • economic barriers to further study
  • resident of the Southeast of Melbourne
  • interest in pursuing a career in engineering or manufacturing
  • new or continuing student at Chisholm Institute.

Applicants must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or hold a permanent humanitarian visa.
