TAFE Teachers are in demand and as such, The Victorian Government’s $6.5 million over three years TAFE Teaching Scholarships is an incredible initiative which aims to support and assist you in changing your career to teaching at TAFE.

Chisholm Institute has 25 scholarships available and designed to support you stepping into a new career.

Objectives of the TAFE Teaching Scholarship:

  • build the capacity and capability of the TAFE teaching workforce
  • attract people to study to become a TAFE teacher and incentivise them to continue to teach within TAFEs
  • reduce the costs associated with a career change to increase access to teacher training
  • attract teachers to areas of training delivery where TAFEs face difficulties in attracting sufficient numbers

What does the three year scholarship include?

  • Three incentive payments across the three years valued at $10,000 per scholar
  • (Note: conditions and eligibility criteria may apply)
  • Year one – Successful completion of the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Years two and three – Guarantee employment at Chisholm once qualified and participation in a quality mentoring program.
