Aligned to the Institute Masterplan, a significant investment has been made in the refurbishment of Dandenong, Building A. The building previously contained dark uninviting classroom spaces, interspersed with staff work areas and difficult wayfinding.

The refurbishment includes works on both the second and third floors of Building A,  providing dedicated  student spaces, including 7 new flexible classrooms, student breakout spaces, a student kitchen and lounge, better access to the Campus Library and a newly built ITS Service Desk on Level 2.

The Business Support Areas previously located on the 2nd floor were relocated to a new open plan workspace on the 3rd floor. The new spaces provide an open, inviting and flexible environment for the Institute's professional staff and education leadership. Facilities include meeting rooms, quiet areas and a large, shared break out space.

The building refurbishment also included upgrades to the air conditioning system serving both Buildings A and G, increasing efficiency and reducing energy consumption.
