    The Vocational Graduate Certificate in Industry Engagement and Development is an intensive, flexibly designed course that prepares VET professionals to identify, scope, access, engage in and manage relationships with industry within an educational context.

    It is aimed at developing the skills and knowledge of mid and senior level staff/personnel in the organisation who require a customer and industry focussed orientation; strong research, analytical and planning skills; skills that will support a proactive and planned approach to industry engagement; skills to manage effective, efficient and sustainable relationships with industry representatives; and, skills to lead staff in the delivery of viable and effective services.

    The qualification is ideally suited to people who have:
    - an Advanced Diploma or Bachelor degree or higher education qualification and wish to expand knowledge and skills into the complementary professional area of business and industry consultancy with an education provider, OR
    - a Diploma qualification in related fields of study and a minimum of three years’ work experience in a related industry area, OR
    - a minimum of five years relevant vocational practice and wish to obtain qualifications in business and industry consultancy with an education provider

    Applying and Enrolling

    To enrol at Chisholm, you need to apply, and then be accepted. Procedures to apply for courses vary. A TAFE application may go through VTAC, for example. In other cases the application may be direct to Chisholm or through your employer or school.

    With a successful Chisholm Institute of TAFE application, in some cases,  you may need to attend an information session or submit a portfolio prior to completing your enrolment.
