This qualification reflects the role of people with responsibility for the development and the outcomes of programs and services for young people managed through a range of agencies and designed to meet the social, behavioural, health, welfare, developmental and protection needs of young people.
This course has 21 units and two practical placements. 200 hrs Practical Placements are completed via camps, schools and youth agencies.
Core Requirements: Valid Volunteer and/or Employee Working with Children Check and a satisfactory National Police Check. A NDIS Workers Screeners check may be required for some placement opportunities.

Admission requirements
Admission requirements are the completion of BKSB assessment with an outcome of ACSF exit level 3 (working level 4) for literacy and ACSF exit level 2 (working level 3) for numeracy, Minimum 18 years of age to enrol in this course, Student Enquiry and Enrolment Services may refer the applicant to the Community and Social Services Department to assess the applicant's suitability to meet the requirements of the course
