A big part of choosing to study is whether the course you’re interested in fits in with your life. Sometimes travelling to a campus on a regular basis on set days or times might not work for you.

That’s why at Chisholm we offer a range of online courses that give you the freedom to study from wherever works for you, in whatever comfort you desire. Need pure silence and a personally climate-controlled locale? Keen to be surrounded by a new café buzz every week? Have family or job commitments you need to work around? Online study gives you those options, and more. Plus, online study helps you build your digital literacy in a world that thrives on technological proficiency.

At Chisholm we offer two modes of online study:

  • Online, and
  • OnlinePlus.

Online courses are 100 per cent online, which means that you are not required to attend a Chisholm campus. Ever. You can even access our extensive range of support services and library resources online. Or come on campus – the choice is yours. Find out more about how Chisholm’s Online delivery mode works.

OnlinePlus courses are mostly online, Plus an additional component face-to-face. This could be a workshop, placement, exam, assessment, industry visit, or similar. Any face-to-face element of an OnlinePlus course will be known in advance to allow you to plan your schedule accordingly. Find out more about how Chisholm’s OnlinePlus delivery mode works.

Short Online courses keep it simple and can be delivered 100 per cent via video conferencing and email. Other Online or OnlinePlus courses give you access to a virtual classroom with a group of like-minded students and an industry-expert teacher (chosen for their knowledge, experience, and passion for online learning). Just like any conventional classroom, your teacher will guide you through the course content, lead group discussion and answer your questions.

Online study is available in a number of ways and can be unique to each course. For example, some courses require you to attend live online classes at set times, and others you can access sessions at times that suit you – as long as you still meet all assessment deadlines!

Regular access to the internet and email is essential as online communication is a fundamental part of any kind of online study.
