      During the course, you’ll learn how to install, test and maintain telecommunications networks, software and equipment; interpret client briefs; perform remote diagnosis and repair of network faults; and use advanced optical test equipment.

      Experienced teachers, who are experts in the field, will guide you through the program, which involves a combination of theory and practice.

      This nationally recognised qualification may lead to employment in roles such as a telecommunications network technician, designer or installer.

      The course can be completed part time over one and a half years.

      Once complete, this course can provide a pathway to Chisholm’s Advanced Diploma of Network Security.

    Applying and Enrolling

    To enrol at Chisholm, you need to apply, and then be accepted. Procedures to apply for courses vary. A TAFE application may go through VTAC, for example. In other cases the application may be direct to Chisholm or through your employer or school.

    With a successful Chisholm Institute of TAFE application, in some cases,  you may need to attend an information session or submit a portfolio prior to completing your enrolment.
