    NYRD - Apply adult tesol methodologies to develop english language skills

    RYMT - Plan an integrated lesson using communicative language teaching methodology

    NFPA - Design and develop learning resources

    A nationally recognised qualification, the Certificate IV in TESOL offers a highly valued range of skills for people who would like to teach English as a foreign language (EFL/ESL) in Australia or overseas; and, discipline teachers who currently teach students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds (CALD) in any discipline and would like to learn more about how to adapt their teaching and learning style to meet students' needs.


    Entry requirements: Year 12 (VCE) or equivalent, or mature age. Diploma or above is desirable. International students require IELTS 6.5 with no band score less than 6.0.

    Applying and Enrolling

    To enrol at Chisholm, you need to apply, and then be accepted. Procedures to apply for courses vary. A TAFE application may go through VTAC, for example. In other cases the application may be direct to Chisholm or through your employer or school.

    With a successful Chisholm Institute of TAFE application, in some cases,  you may need to attend an information session or submit a portfolio prior to completing your enrolment.
