    Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy

    Specialise in beauty therapy and learn how to provide current and competitive services.

    When you complete the Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy, you’ll be able to provide customers with a range of quality beauty treatments and services.

    You’ll learn practical skills in areas such as facial massage; lash and brow treatments; make-up; waxing; body massage; body treatments; and retail product sales and advice. You’ll also be able to choose specialist electives

      Experienced teachers, who are experts in the field, will guide you through the program, which involves theoretical study and practical placement.

      With this nationally recognised qualification, you’ll be ready to work as a beauty therapist in an established practice or in your own practice.

      The course can be completed part time over two and a half years or full time over one year. It is also offered as a traineeship.

      Once complete, you can extend your skills by studying Chisholm’s Diploma of Beauty Therapy.

    Applying and Enrolling

    To enrol at Chisholm, you need to apply, and then be accepted. Procedures to apply for courses vary. A TAFE application may go through VTAC, for example. In other cases the application may be direct to Chisholm or through your employer or school.

    With a successful Chisholm Institute of TAFE application, in some cases,  you may need to attend an information session or submit a portfolio prior to completing your enrolment.
