    This qualification reflects the role of skilled operators who apply a broad range of competencies in varied micro business contexts, using some discretion and judgement and relevant theoretical knowledge. They may provide technical advice and support to a small team. To expand on and enhance the skills gained in this course, students may then choose to undertake the Certificate IV in Small Business Management. Job seekers who qualify for CentreLink and Job Network services should refer to the New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS) version of this course (on this website) to ascertain elibility for Federal Government support for this program.

    Entry requirements: No formal qualifications, however a keen interest in establishing and running a business would be helpful if you wish to be selected for this course.

    Applying and Enrolling

    To enrol at Chisholm, you need to apply, and then be accepted. Procedures to apply for courses vary. A TAFE application may go through VTAC, for example. In other cases the application may be direct to Chisholm or through your employer or school.

    With a successful Chisholm Institute of TAFE application, in some cases,  you may need to attend an information session or submit a portfolio prior to completing your enrolment.
