    Upon successful completion of the relevant competencies (which may be the off-the-job component of an apprenticeship) an Electronics Technician is eligible for membership of TETIA (The Electronics Technician Institute of Australia) which is recognised in all states of Australia. Areas of study include: Electrical Principles; Analogue Electronics; Digital Electronics; Television systems; Telecommunications and Quality Systems.

    Entry requirements: No formal requirements. Applicants must have a ‘Registered Training Agreement’ with their employer

    Applying and Enrolling

    To enrol at Chisholm, you need to apply, and then be accepted. Procedures to apply for courses vary. A TAFE application may go through VTAC, for example. In other cases the application may be direct to Chisholm or through your employer or school.

    With a successful Chisholm Institute of TAFE application, in some cases,  you may need to attend an information session or submit a portfolio prior to completing your enrolment.
