    Areas of study covered include a wide range of Abattoir skills in addition to Food Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Quality Assurance, maintenance of personal equipment and Communication.

    Entry requirements: No formal requirements for entry into this course. However those who are not undertaking full time study and are an apprentice must have entered into a ‘Contract of Training’ with their employer and be employed as an apprentice.

    Applying and Enrolling

    To enrol at Chisholm, you need to apply, and then be accepted. Procedures to apply for courses vary. A TAFE application may go through VTAC, for example. In other cases the application may be direct to Chisholm or through your employer or school.

    With a successful Chisholm Institute of TAFE application, in some cases,  you may need to attend an information session or submit a portfolio prior to completing your enrolment.
