    This Traineeship course trains employees with previous industry experience who wish to move from industry level C12 to C11 under the Federal Metals Industry Award. It allows production workers to gain formal qualifications based on their existing skills. Areas of study include: Computers; Drills and Drilling Machines; Quality Concepts; Group Processes; Occupational Health and Safety; Hand and Power Tools; Production Processes; Turning; Welding and Thermal Cutting.

    Entry requirements: No formal requirements. Applicants must have a ‘Registered Training Agreement’ with their employer.

    Applying and Enrolling

    To enrol at Chisholm, you need to apply, and then be accepted. Procedures to apply for courses vary. A TAFE application may go through VTAC, for example. In other cases the application may be direct to Chisholm or through your employer or school.
