    This course helps production operators' progress to C12 wage and skill level under the Federal Metals Industry Award, and can lead to a Fabrication Apprenticeship or work as a Production Operator. Areas of study include: Materials; Metal Fabrication and Welding; Polymer; Press and Production Processes; Quality; and, Workshop Processes.

    Entry requirements: No formal requirements. Applicants must have a ‘Registered Training Agreement’ with their employer.

    Applying and Enrolling

    To enrol at Chisholm, you need to apply, and then be accepted. Procedures to apply for courses vary. A TAFE application may go through VTAC, for example. In other cases the application may be direct to Chisholm or through your employer or school.
