    This program seeks to develop the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes involved in performing professional duties in the context of rapid social, legal and political change; effectively draw upon their workplace as a learning resource gather, record and present evidence in a court of law, i.e. to act as an informant; develop an understanding of the powers of an authorised officer in the execution of their duties; apply legal principles to case and statutory analysis, analyse and apply legal information relating to the operation of the legal system; and, take and record witness statements.

    The Certificate IV in Justice and Diploma of Justice are exit points.

    Entry requirements: Year 12 (VCE) or equivalent. Mature age entry also considered or relevant industry experience

    Applying and Enrolling

    To enrol at Chisholm, you need to apply, and then be accepted. Procedures to apply for courses vary. A TAFE application may go through VTAC, for example. In other cases the application may be direct to Chisholm or through your employer or school.

    With a successful Chisholm Institute of TAFE application, in some cases,  you may need to attend an information session or submit a portfolio prior to completing your enrolment.
