    The qualification reflects the role of individuals who analyse, design and execute judgements using wide-ranging technical, creative, conceptual or managerial competencies. It provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in wide-ranging, highly specialised technical event skills covering operations, sales, marketing, product development, business planning, human resources and financial management.

    These strategic management skills are underpinned by operational competencies, chosen as electives. Work is undertaken in an office environment where the planning of event products and services takes place and where event products are delivered or a combination of both.

    Entry requirements: Year 12 (VCE) minimum. Preference is given if you have also completed Certificate III in Hospitality or Certificate III in Events

    Applying and Enrolling

    To enrol at Chisholm, you need to apply, and then be accepted. Procedures to apply for courses vary. A TAFE application may go through VTAC, for example. In other cases the application may be direct to Chisholm or through your employer or school.

    With a successful Chisholm Institute of TAFE application, in some cases,  you may need to attend an information session or submit a portfolio prior to completing your enrolment.
