    The course brings together building information modelling and environmental sustainability to generate design and drawn documents. You'll progress from residential to commercial building projects, working individually and in teams to complete tasks varying from reports and presentations to complex drawn documents.

    Design and documentation of the projects is undertaken using the most current computer software. Successful completion of this course fulfils the minimum educational requirements for registration as a draftsperson with the Building Commission.

    Students who have completed Vet in Schools program with Chisholm will be guaranteed a pathway into this course.

    Articulation may be achieved with expemptions into degree courses in architecture at university.

    Applying and Enrolling

    To enrol at Chisholm, you need to apply, and then be accepted. Procedures to apply for courses vary. A TAFE application may go through VTAC, for example. In other cases the application may be direct to Chisholm or through your employer or school.

    With a successful Chisholm Institute of TAFE application, in some cases,  you may need to attend an information session or submit a portfolio prior to completing your enrolment.
