    The course is a 18 month full-time program and incorporates the Certificate IV in Accounting and Diploma of Accounting. It provides training to develop a highly successful career in the accounting and finance field.

    Graduates will be academically qualified to seek membership of the Institute of Public Accountants and become Tax Agents (subject to having the required work experience).

    The course includes a number of general business areas of study which will ensure graduates have the breadth of skills to work at all
    levels in any organisation and will also assist in gaining credits into relevant bachelor degree programs at a university of choice.

    You can also move on to study Chisholm's Bachelor of Accounting (La Trobe Partnership).

    Entry requirements: Year 12 (VCE) or equivalent, or Diploma of Accounting, or mature age.

    Applying and Enrolling

    To enrol at Chisholm, you need to apply, and then be accepted. Procedures to apply for courses vary. A TAFE application may go through VTAC, for example. In other cases the application may be direct to Chisholm or through your employer or school.

    With a successful Chisholm Institute of TAFE application, in some cases,  you may need to attend an information session or submit a portfolio prior to completing your enrolment.
