Industry standard video production requires industry standard software and facilities. Software including Final Cut Pro and After Effects as well as green screens and special effects are all used extensively in editing and compositing video production and live action films.
All students studying Visual Arts at our Frankston Campus can access facilities un-matched throughout Victoria. Students have access to a bronze foundry that enables the production of large scale bronze sculptures. The facility to produce large scale wooden and metal fabrication as well as paster forming also exists. Printmaking and painting studios also accommodates individual studio spaces for second year students.

Visual Arts is an exciting field where the opportunities for self-expression are many and varied. Chisholm provides training for individuals who wish to pursue a career as a Visual Artist in the areas of Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture, Digital Imaging, Public Arts and Gallery Curation to enhance public awareness of the arts by exhibiting works.
Graphic design has changed dramatically over recent years with industry studios and agencies needing students to have a basic skill in animation. The first year of the Bachelor of Interactive Multimedia introduces the art of animation using a variety of techniques including traditional 2D animation, claymation, stop motion and pixilation.
Texturing, lighting and modelling and sometimes animation using the software Maya are used in 3D visualisation. Specialising in 3D visualisation including producing product design, architectural designs or character design.
Course hours per week maybe less than full time but take longer to complete.
Course duration and number of hours per week will vary. Check with the department.

Students enrolling in a govt-subsidised course up to Cert IV who hold a current Commonwealth Healthcare Card, Pensioner Concession Card or Veterans' Gold Card (or who are the dependent spouse of a cardholder) are eligible for concessions.Students who were under 25 at Jan 1 2012, and are continuing in the diploma or advanced diploma they enrolled in prior to July 1, 2012, will also be eligible for a concessions if they hold a current Commonwealth Healthcare Card, Pensioner Concession Card or Veterans' Gold Card (or are the dependent a cardholder). Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders will be eligible for concessions for any level course. Full details about concessions

To enrol at Chisholm, you need to apply, and then be accepted. Procedures to apply for courses vary. A TAFE application may go through VTAC, for example. In other cases the application may be direct to Chisholm or through your employer or school.
With a successful Chisholm Institute of TAFE application, in some cases, you may need to attend an information session or submit a portfolio prior to completing your enrolment.
