Our highly qualified and experienced trainers are all industry professionals, many of whom continue to tun their own business and feed their knowledge of ongoing developments in the Cooking and Culinary world into their courses. Chisholm staff regularly engage in forums, conferences and seminars with industry bodies including Meetings and Events Australia, Tourism Alliance, Restaurant and Catering Victoria, Les Toques Blanches, Australian Culinary Federation and Shared Tables.
With ten training kitchens including a brand new patisserie kitchen, the patisserie 121 Café and the already highly successful student training restaurants Birches, Bunurong and Casuarinas, Chisholm offers some of the most modern hospitality training facilities in Australia.

What will it cost me if I qualify for a government subsidised place?
In 2012 the government will pay majority of the cost of your training, if you are eligible.
Concessions are currently under review subject to the offical announcement from the Victorian Government and the impact of the State Budget on ongoing funding for the VET sector.

You will still pay some fees depending on the course category and now that we can offer elegible students VET FEE HELP loans or Staged Payment Plans, learning is even more affordable.

To enrol at Chisholm, you need to apply, and then be accepted. Procedures to apply for courses vary. A TAFE application may go through VTAC, for example. In other cases the application may be direct to Chisholm or through your employer or school.
With a successful Chisholm Institute of TAFE application, in some cases, you may need to attend an information session or submit a portfolio prior to completing your enrolment.
