Scary stuff at Hair and Beauty Awards
“Thriller” was the theme at the Hair and Beauty Awards at the Drum Theatre Dandenong. The highly dramatic Awards evening even included a Michael Jackson impersonator and dance troupe to complete the effects.
Chisholm students stunned the audience with the prosthetic makeup artistry they applied to the models.
The prosthetic makeup work was directed by Lynn Hunt. Lynn has been assisting Chisholm in teaching this specialised skill for two years now. Lynn’s background is TV and theatre. She was involved with the prosthetic makeup for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets movie.
The Awards night celebrates and acknowledges the outstanding achievements of students, at the same time showcasing their work.
The Awards highlights the individual style and talent of each student as well as promoting the value of investing in training.
The achievements not only recognise the hard work, determination and commitment of each student but also the unwavering support and encouragement of their mentors in the workplace, the Institute, family and friends.
“The evening was a great success and a testament to all the hard work put in by our students and staff”, said Hair and Beauty Teacher Sue Frey.
