A range of Chisholm courses are government subsidised, which means that the government pays most of the costs and you only have to pay a contribution fee.
Other courses are full fee paying - referred to as Fee for Service - and are not government subsidised.
The eligibility of a student for a government subsidised place needs to be determined prior to enrolling.

Tuition contribution for eligible students
For government subsidised courses, the contribution fee is capped to restrict the amount a student will pay in one year. In 2012, eligible students will pay no more than $2,500 for a skills deepening course, depending on the course category and after the government subsidy.
Find out more about the fees for the course categories in 2012.
Recent changes in State Government funding may affect the pricing listed in some of the courses in the 2012 Tuition Fees Schedule – Skills Deepening (Semester one).
Please note: Advertised tuition fees relating to government subsidised places are only relevant to students enrolling in units of study between 1 January and 30 June, 2012. Tuition fees for students commencing in a government subsidised place from 1 July, 2012 may change.

Concessions
All students who enrol and commence training in government subsidised training in Foundation Skills, Skills Creation, Apprenticeships and Traineeships and Skills Building course categories, and who are holders of a Commonwealth Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card or Veterans' Gold Card, will pay the minimum fee. You must provide proof at the time of enrolment that you are the card holder, or the dependant spouse or dependent child of the card holder.
Tuition fee concessions are not available for students enrolling in a Skills Deepening course.
If you earn a low income, we recommend you contact Centrelink to determine if you are eligible for one of these cards.
With a concession, you will pay the minimum tuition contribution for a course category and the minimum Student Service and Amenities Fee for a calendar year.
Please note: Minimum tuition contribution does not apply to Fee for Service courses. Please contact the relevant Department Course Coordinator for current fees and charges information on full fee paying courses.
Chisholm's CEO may exercise the right to waive or amend this fees structure in the case of extreme hardship.
Materials fees
The material fee for each course is set by the responsible Centre Director. It covers the actual cost of essential materials required for the successful undertaking of the course, excursions and other activities. You will be provided with details of these fees when you enrol.
There are no concessions for materials fees. There are no refunds after four (4) weeks of commencement of classes, except where goods or activities have not been supplied, or where goods can be returned if unused.
