Deakin at Your Doorstep is an innovative program offered by Deakin University in partnership with Chisholm Institute. It provides the opportunity for you to enrol in the Associate Degree of Arts, Business and Sciences.

Learn where you live

In 2011, the Associate Degree will be available at Deakin’s learning centres at Chisholm Dandenong and Chisholm Mornington Peninsula. The course is part time - usually attendance of one day a week - and studied via video conference with on-campus tutor support.

Flexible study

The course structure of the Associate Degree of Arts, Business and Sciences is flexible enough for you to choose to study in a variety of areas - perfect if you are not yet sure of your career path. Or you can specialise in a number of streams from the arts, business, education, information technology, health or environmental science fields.

You can study the Associate Degree as a stand-alone course or you can combine it with a selected Chisholm Diploma course. The Associate Degree plus Diploma option will generally take two years of full time study.

Pathway to Bachelor Degree

When you complete your study at Chisholm, you will have achieved both Diploma - a higher TAFE qualification in your chosen field - and Associate Degree qualifications.

In addition you will receive advanced standing into a Deakin Bachelor Degree. Your future application to complete the remainder of the relevant Bachelor degree at a Deakin campus will be highly regarded.
