Working as a manager in a busy pharmacy for several years was fulfilling only part of the medical career that Samantha Moncreif ultimately wanted.

Being able to complete most of her medical administration course on line has helped busy Samantha fast-track her career. She says being able to study at a time and place that suits you has tremendous appeal for people with a busy lifestyle.

By undertaking a Certificate III in Business (Medical Administration) at Chisholm Institute she’s finally entered the medical field she is happy with.
Chisholm was able to grant her course credits because of the extensive experience she had gained in her old job. “This recognition of prior work and life learning in the field has reduced the study time of my course.”

Half way through her Chisholm course, Samantha was able to quit her job as a pharmacy manager and put her energies into the medical administration area as receptionist in a busy Hastings doctors practice.

Samantha says the balance of classes and on-line learning fitted in well with her busy and demanding work at the practice. Participating in interactive on-line classes with fellow students, supported by teachers with extensive industry experience, is helping Samantha to realise her perfect work dream.
