MASSAGING A PATHWAY TO THE STARS
After successful studies at Chisholm in an Advanced Diploma of Remedial Massage Liam Staines has taken ‘reaching for the stars’ to new heights.
After completing the course in 2000, Liam who had previously worked as a personal care attendant, started a rapid rise in his massage career which has since seen him work as an AFL sports injury masseur for Essendon and for the Australian Rugby Seven during the recent Commonwealth Games as well as partnership in a thriving Frankston based sports injury clinic.
Liam’s Diploma paved the way for his initial work placement at the Sports Injury Clinic Frankston of which he is now a partner. It’s a private practice, multi-disciplinary Clinic which is shortly expanding from a six room treatment facility to 17.

The extensive full time course at Chisholm covers all related study areas including: Soft Tissue Techniques: Therapeutic; Sports Remedial, Anatomy, Physiology, Infection Control, Surface Anatomy, Medical Terminology, Movement Analysis, Pathology Assessment, Exercise Science, Posture, Nutrition, Communication and Administration. Graduation in the course also prepares you for entry to a Bachelor of health Science.
Chisholm’s Advanced Diploma of Remedial Massage now offers Myotherapy which involves Myofascial Dry Needling and Cupping.
