VTAC
The Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) acts as an application and administrative agency for all Victorian Universities and TAFE institutes. VTAC applications must be submitted electronically through the VTAC website.
For some courses, you will need to submit an application to Chisholm as well as your VTAC application. Search above for your course and you'll find the relevant application form to download and complete. Refer to the current VTAC Guide if unsure.
Direct Entry
Many Chisholm courses are available by direct application (particularly if you want to study part time). See the Application Procedures listed under the course you are interested in. It could be worth your while to apply direct in case there are vacancies after VTAC applications have been processed. We'll be happy to take you through the application and enrolment process step by step. Phone us on ne us on 1300 CHISHOLM (1300 24474656).
Trainees and Apprenticeships
Apprentices and trainees need a training agreement with an employer, specifying Chisholm as the training provider. Full information is available at www.australianapprenticeships.gov.au.
In simple terms, first you get a job, and then your employer makes an appointment with a New Apprenticeships Centre to sign and register your training agreement. Chisholm will get in touch with you to arrange training.
You will also need to meet any of the specific course pre-requisites prior to commencing training. Phone us on 1300 CHISHOLM (1300 24474656) to find out what’s required.
Pre-Apprenticeships
You don’t need to be employed to do a pre-apprenticeship program, but you may be asked to sit a short exam or attend an interview to gain a place. Ask the teaching department for the industry you are interested in.

Other entry arrangements may be available to the following applicants:
