Electricians work knowledge requirements have increased greatly with the technology boom of recent years and Programmable Logic Control (PLC) has clearly become the way of the future.
“The PLC process is a major part of theglobal electrical framework, it’s everywherein a big percentage of the things we use daily,” says professional electrician Ronnie Borg, 34.
“Now is the time to get into studying it as the world is changing at a rapid rate in the electrical arena. If you enjoy electrics, computers and watching things move (the three basic components of the PLC process) then this is definitely the field for you.”
Completing recent training in this area has been a great help to Ronnie’s job of
maintenance and high voltage electrical work. The knowledge he gained impressed his boss at electrical contracting company O’Donnell-Griffin so much that they reimbursed him his course fees.”
“With PLC now so important I realised that I needed concentrated study in this area. When I received course details from Chisholm Institute, I knew I better do something about it quickly and I called their information helpline for expert information and course availability.”
“The Certificate IV in Electrical that I completed last year at TAFE one night four hours per week has given me a complete understanding and knowledge of PLC. I have recommended it to all my electrician mates as a must-do course.”
