Development of Chisholm’s Centre for Sustainable Water Management at Cranbourne continues on-target with leading Melbourne practice Vincent Chrisp being named as architects for the project.
Vincent Chrisp Architects produced a graceful, dynamic design that met with universal acclaim. The approved plans are currently out to tender with selected builders and a firm will be decided on by the end of January 2010, with construction expected to begin immediately afterwards.
The $10m multi-purpose facility will include a treatment plant, water quality testing, industry research and development space and controlled environment centre. Construction of the centre will be completed in 2010 and operation will begin in 2011.
This project is funded by the Australian Government through the Teaching and Learning Capital Fund (TLCF) for Vocational Education and Training (VET).
