Chisholm Institute has entered into a partnership with the Australian Taxi Academy to oversee quality taxi driver accreditation training, as well as providing an English language training experience.

The new Chisholm Automotive and Logistics Learning Centre, opening in early 2012, will feature some of the latest technological advanced facilities and equipment. This includes a full diagnostics laboratory – full emissions testings – facility and a natural gas fired infra red paint curing system.

The Bachelor of Community Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs was developed by Chisholm to meet the growing demand for people with the appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes to work across the spectrum of community-based mental health and alcohol and other drugs treatment services.

A new $26 million Trade Careers Centre will be built at Chisholm’s Berwick campus, offering a wide range of training opportunities for people in the region.

Chisholm Institute graduate Emilie Abad has won the third ‘2010 ABC Women in Broadcast Technology Scholarship’. The Scholarship, instigated by the ABC to encourage the participation of women in the engineering and technology sides of the broadcasting industry, includes four weeks paid on the job training at the ABC and a $1,000 book allowance.
